What are shapewear shorts?
Shapewear shorts are long-leg knickers that start at the waist and reach mid-thigh. Their shaping knit works like a second skin: it smooths the tummy, supports the hips and refines the thighs. Where shapewear knickers stop at the top of the legs, shapewear shorts also shape the thighs. They're a key piece of our plus size shapewear, for everyday wear as well as special occasions.
Why choose high waisted shapewear shorts?
A smooth tummy, right up to the waist
High waisted shapewear rises above the belly button. It avoids waistband marks and the little roll that forms when knickers stop too low. The Pure Invisibility panty, with its high-rise cut, shapes the tummy thanks to a heat-bonded front panel. The Slimmers panty adds support to the stomach and back: true tummy control shorts for a smoothed silhouette from waist to thighs.

Knit or microfibre?
Microfibre (Perfect Touch, Pure Invisibility) is fine, soft and very discreet under clothes. Compression knit (Slimmers) is more structured and shapes more. All our shaping shorts have a cotton-lined gusset and are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified.

Shapewear shorts that stay in place all day
Shapewear shorts that roll down at the waist or ride up the thighs quickly become uncomfortable. Slimmers has a double non-slip silicone band at the waist, a flat knitted hem at the thighs and a single seam at the gusset. They stay in place from morning to night, without digging in or showing. Slimmers and Pure Invisibility are also available in packs of 2, in black and skin tone.
Shapewear shorts or anti-chafing shorts: which to wear under a dress?
Both can be worn under a dress, but they don't meet the same need:
- Shapewear shorts shape: they smooth the tummy and streamline your silhouette.
- Anti-chafing shorts protect the inner thighs thanks to a tighter knit at the crotch. They're perfect for hot days, but have no shaping effect.
Under a light or sheer dress, consider an underskirt too, to stop see-through fabrics.
