E cup bra: how do you know it's your size?

The difference between a D cup and an E cup is measured in centimetres, between the bust measurement (at nipple level) and the underbust measurement: a 20 cm difference corresponds to a D cup, a 22 cm difference to an E cup. An E cup isn't necessarily linked to a large band size: you can just as easily wear a 30E as a 40E — the letter indicates volume only, never the band.
